Opening Christmas presents

The kids were so excited to open presents finally. A was concerned that he would not be getting what he wanted but Santa managed to deliver. This is M's 2nd christmas and she knew exactly what to do. J was glad he got the bike.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas has come and gone and now we are ready to ring in the New Year. I think all the kids were happy and Santa was able to pull through. Thank goodness. We had a day of snow which is something that rarely happens in Houston.

New York we have arrived..

Our trip to New York or shall I say New Jersey was nice. The kids did great on the plane. We had a little trouble getting out of Houston, but we finally made it to NJ/NYC. I think we were all a bit tired.My camera ran out of battery power and we used an alternate with better photos. Stay tuned for those pics. On Sunday we we left back for Houston, we did not make the plane because we were riding standby so the kids, Matt and I made a detour to Detroit Michigan. Not fun to stop in a city you've never been to. We finally made it home and had time to finish homework. Matt and I are visiting NYC maybe in December on our own so we can actually see things.

Little J turns 5

On 11-1 J turned the 5. He wanted a party at FunMax like his friend Grace. All his cousins and family turned out for the fun party. It was a relief for mom and dad because we are used to hosting really rather large events and this was timed at 2 hours and all we ate was cake. yeahh!

New York here we come...

Well the countdown begins and we are 3 days from our trip to New York City. M has some business to take care of so we are headed to the Big Apple to join him. Our tentative plans have us in the city on Thursday but there is a small possiblity that Friday may be an alternate. Stay tuned for photos and blogs. This is long awaited mini-vac(vacation). A and I traveled there in the summer and this was our good-bye sign as we left LaGuardia airport. See ya guys soon!

Halloween

We will be going costume shopping this weekend! What to wear what to wear. The boys are pumped and ready to scare their baby sister M. M of course wants to be a ballerina. J is back and forth from Spiderman to Iron Man. A wants to be the pain in my side he just can not make up his mind. Beware of the ghosts and goblins ooooooo!!!

Dancing with the stars is back

OMG! this season looks to be great esp if Cloris Leachman stays for awhile. I am so pumped that the news is finally off and the shows are back to regular programming.

Hurricane Ike

Our survival of Hurricane Ike is that we made it! We had a rough night and now the days to recovery are even rougher. I still have boarders at Casa Carrion. Everyone else has gone home! I look forward to sending the kids back to school and my return to school also. it has been a 12 days since we left school and to think we have 6 more to come. Join me next time when I try to save the world...er ok just save myself....
